WHAT DO YOU WANT??!?! (SST6)

22 Nov

Up until now, all 50 odd of Mouthy have performed on the same night in the same show. After a 4 hour show at Say Sum Thin 5… I think we have all realized this is no longer possible! Furthermore, as Mouthy grows it becomes clearer and clearer that some people want a more professional career path and some simply want fun.

This is our solution, Mouthy Poets now have two options of performance. We will still meet together, develop together and support each other but you have two options of framework to follow and two options of show to perform in:

1. The Scratch Show (less rigid deadlines, cheaper tickets and an open-mic),

2. The Commission Show (deadlines, time limits, dearer tickets, and technical rehearsal).

The result? Twice the shows, different price brackets, different demographics, shorter shows and therefore more accessible to new audiences.

So… What do you need to do? Read the criteria below then let Debris know which you are aiming for!

Keep in mind some of the dates may change slightly but I wanted to get this out ASAP so you have a rough idea of the new structure. All performers will need to attend all activities on the 7th & 8th of March as the events themselves will still be coordinated collaboratively and the whole two evenings branded as Say Sum Thin 6 by The Mouthy Poets – we are still a poetry team and family.
