As we grow we transform.
Our pasts create our present.
Our faces develop character based on the repeated expressions of our personal experiences.
You can read a persons life in their face.
The lines that make it are a map of their journey.

Taking one of the photographs as a starting point write a poem describing how each scar, line and wrinkle came to be.

Use metaphoric description for each feature. “The wrinkles by her mouth” become “The trenches in her cheeks” etc.
Continue this metaphor in the description of the making. Trenches are dug, cracks are carved, branches grow etc.
